I can see it, but I cant touch anywhere near it.

Well we finally got it running ( a matter of opinion). after we had replaced all of the battery cables( we made them ourselves, 4 about 1/2). we bled the injectors and finally it fired.still have to help with the foot feed. I can see the fuel filter but I cant touch any where near it. Is there some simple truth about that thing that i cannot see? any suggestions would be more than werlcome.

on what year truck? on mine i use a pry bar and a hammer to break it free then spin it off by hand but its tricky getting to it

Thru 96 they were spin on, 97-99 used a cannister, after that I do not know.


Let us know the year..... And yea, they can be a pain!

The trick to changing the fuel filter on '94-'96 is to remove the two nuts that hold the brake master cylinder to the booster. Even though it doesn't look like it this allows you to swing the master towards the fender giving ample room to work.
