Have a rebuild kit for mine. Anything to watch for, any tips?

 

It is a big help to go on to Holset's website and download the manual for the HX35. It has diagrams and basically walks you through the whole rebuild. I did my Wh1C and didn't really notice any big pitfalls, it can be tough to get the exhaust housing off sometimes but that's about it. Just make sure to clean EVERYTHING before it goes back together and pre oil the turbo before firing up the engine. Good Luck!

 

Thanks crimedog. I was thinking of pulling the fuel solenoid relay and cranking it until I get oil out the bottom of turbo with return line off to make sure the bearings are well oiled.
