How much boost am I running?

I do not have a boost gauge..... Soooo.... what type of boost do you think I am running....

80 HP injectors
100 plate
timing 15.5

And what could I expect from blocking off the waste gate? I recently had did a new head gasket with screw in studs....

My sigs say the rest of my mods...... thanks..

I'm going to wager a guess that with your wastegate blocked you would be pushing 32 psi give or take. I hit about 34 psi on my 95 with a 10 plate and 191 DV's.

my buddys truck that I just put a 100 plate in can push 43 lbs of boost. This is a 96 5 speed with only 100 plate and timing. My truck, is stil at stock timing with a 0 plate centered and I can only ush about 25 psi, both with blocked wastegates, but I think I my have a boost leak.

I hit 39 psi my 160 pump with stock DVs, 0 plate, gutted AFC, and Blocked wastegate. I wouldn't suggest blocking your wastegate unless you have a boost gauge.

Mines wastegated at 34-35psi, It feels like it could go alot more if I adjusted the wastegate but the stock turbo is good right at 34. I don't know if the stock wastegate is adjustable, but ur setup should be the same boost if not alittle more with the injectors to light the turbo some more.

JTalyor you must have been posting at the same time I was. I am running a 170 PUMP so I might be in the 4042 lbs of boost range? What is unsafe boost range??

one other thing.....

I had my injection pump rebuilt about 5 months ago. I installed my 3K spring kit and the truck would rev to about 3100 RPMS. After the injection pump build and bumped timing it only rev to about 2850? On a injection pump rebuild would they have to remove the 3K spring kit ? Maybe they adjusted them differently?

Thanks....

On a stock WH1C anything over 35 psi is out of its efficiency range.

What is the next step up on a turbo for my 94? Will a bigger turbo automatically equal less MPG?? I would like more air flow but would hate to loose on my MPG... Thanks....

Try tightening the Throttle linkages or clicking your governor springs. You should be able to get more than 2850 rpms out of a 3 GSK. I'm able to run up to 3200 rpms (Free load) on stock governor springs.

boost and rpm range

Truck in neutral I can only get around 2900 RPM's. While driving about the same. Maybe on more click on the GSK's? How much RPM does one click give? I just installed my boost gauge and max boost was 33. I blocked off the waste gate and max is 39.

i would set the max boost at 35psi 39 isn't that bad but i wouldn't go up there too much because the turbo doesn't make maximum power if its over 35psi so i read, and an aftermarket turbo charger shouldn't really change your mpg's but how you drive the truck does alot, more air just makes the truck more efficent so that would help your mpg's wasting less fuel is good.
