How many people still using washers for GSK?

Just thought I'd see how many people were still using the washers for a GSK. Any problems? I've had mine in for about 10k miles now. Still runs like the first day.

I've been researching the differences for doing my truck and pretty much what I've gleaned from it is that if you do get the washers to go in right that the washers make the throttle response real touchy between 1500 and 1800 rpm's and with the new springs the throttle response is more even all the way through. I guess it depends on two factors, 1. correctly installing them to where you don't have the high idle problem and 2. can you deal with the touchy throttle response in the mid RPM range..

Hmm... My throttle is touchy between about 1500 and 2000 rpms. It's hard to keep the rpms steady in that range. I've never tried the real gsk but from what I hear it's like that too. Everything else as been fine. I didn't even have to re-adjust my idle after I put the washers in.

I guess it pretty much comes down to how much 125 bucks means to you compared to 68 cents washers..

I have the washers, they sucked at first. The idle was high once I got that down then it would hang up at 1500rpm. I had the plug in the side of the pump out so many times adjusting the preload on the gov. springs I had to add a 1/2 quart of oil. Now that I have them tuned in I love them. If I was going to do it again I would go with springs for sure. Just my thoughts.
