Help with a Pacbrake POS (valet)

OK guys help me out here
I hooked up the POS the way the instructions say but it needs the solenoid to be energized to allow boost to flow thru? The way the instructions show and I understand it if you don't energize the solenoid it should flow thru and if you do energize it it should block the flow, correct?

The valet switch I have (from piers) the solenoid needs to be energized to allow boost through, non-energized(valet mode) = no boost through.

Put your lips on a fitting and try blowing?

Wild guess, but I assume they use a solenoid from a brake system that must be energized to pass boost.

My solenoid came from a fan clutch control. Must be energized to pass boost as plumbed. A simple fitting change and it flow unless energized.

Hummm, I don't like it. Well then back it goes! On this solenoid you cant just reverse the lines to change it around because when its not energized it dumps. Even their instructions state that when its active/energized the light on the switch will be on where that is not the case. Thanks guys

Yeah, mine is the same way. I just got it, and you have to have it energized to have full power. Not the best design IMO, but I guess it works. Im still undecided as to wether or not Im gonna keep it on there.

Only allows boost when energized. Hmm the same principle as the fuel solenoid only functioning when energized?
The whole idea is selective boost control to the AFC. Is it really that much concern it must be energized to allow boost? Solenoids are highly reliable.

That's the way mine is...I run in valet most of the time, so it's not a big deal.
