Hear a ticking ...
Hi Guys
It's proibly was coldest night of the year ... I started the truck this morning and did notice a ticking on the driverside ...maybe the lift pump ...
The truck was cold , by the time It got up to normal operating temp it was gone ...is this a sign that the lift pump is getting near it's end of life .
My truck has 150,000 on it ... I was talking talking to marty at Precision Diesel ...he has them for 100 bucks .
Thanks guys
Greg

You can search for ticking and come up with a bucnch of threads. Some are cured by the LP and some are cured by the Over Flow check valve. Others are not cured by either. Our 97 has a tick that reverberates into the fuel tank. I will track down some day.
