Harm from exhaust brake

Hey guys I wondered if any long term harm can be done from running a exhaust brake with out the HD valve springs installed on the exhaust valves?
Would it cause premature seal/guide wear, or anyother problems you can think of?

You are right. If the back pressure in the exhaust manifold with the e brake closed exceeds the psi rating of the valve springs the valves will float, damage will occur.
Pac-Brakes have a hole drilled in the butterfly to prevent this if you don't want to change springs.

Yeah I was aware of that type of damage but I wondering more about things like premature guide or seal wear.
