Grind/Bind feeling at low speed.
Grind/Bind feeling at low speed.
Recently I have noticed when ever i back up or pull up to a light and do a slow roll the direction im going. I feel a grind/bind/shutter that comes over the whole truck. I cant really hear it but i can feel it in my seat and in my feet as well as in the wheel. Its not terribly noticeable but it has slowly been getting worse.
I have changed the rear diff fluid about a 2 months ago Royal Purple 75w-90.
Also the left front U-Joint is bad.
I started to notice the feel about a month ago maybe more.
It only happens between 3-6 MPH
I have a simular feel between 45-55 but its more high freq. (this i have had since i bought the truck)
Any help is welcome!!!
Thanks
-Mike

Does it happen when you are going perfectly straight or is when you are turning? When switching to a synthetic oil in the rear-end, the limited slip will be tighter so the grinding you are feeling is probably the limited slip working but just harder than it used to. One fix to this is adding a few ounces of the limited slip additive that you can buy at auto parts stores.
