grid heater stuck on
grid heater stuck on
but only when the key is on. i disconnected the power for it right at the battery. so i'm guessing that the most likely problem is going to be the relay/solenoid thing on the inner fender..... does that sound right? i dont want to be replacing parts that are still good if i can avoid it.
also when this happened it melted the little boost line that goes from the intake to the injection pump, any one know where i can get that piece?
Thanks

It's just hose at the AFC, any auto parts will have it.

everything tested ok. some bad connections at the relay seems to have fixed the problem, at least for now anyways.
i cant find that hose anywhere online. would you happen to have a part number or a link? thanks

Next time the grids are stuck on remove one of the small wires on each relay.
If the grids turn off then the problem isn't the relays and more likely the intake air temp sensor.
If the grids stay on with the small trigger wire disconnected then the problem is a sticking relay.
Much cheaper to replace the relay with a Ford starter relay, $10 at any auto parts.
The Ford relay must be the type with a non-grounded body.
