I saw on ebay someone had the high amp (starting)relay for like $20. I looked at my friendly local parts house & they wanted $46.

(the 1 on the firewall that says 'hi ram' and is rated for 70A I think).

Seems like it would be less problematic to rewire it to use the old ford style starter sol. :-

 

A $20 source for a relay that is heavier duty than the stock one is here http://www.fostertruck.com/dodge/default.htm excellent service and no ebay hassles.

 

Get the relay from larryb. 20 bucks, and less than a minute to install.

then your done and can forget about it.
