Fuel line twisted off...

I was changing out the transfer pump on my '95 12V & while disconnecting the fuel lines, I broke one.
Its' the one that goes from the fuel filter housing to the top of the transfer pump (banjo fitting on one end, threaded fitting on the other).
Part number on the original line that broke is 3918880....problem is the dealer wants $67 for it

I have another line with the fitting on it that I need & was wondering if I could cut the bad part off the old line & splice the other part off the good line?
I was thinking of just using diesel rated hose with a couple fuel injection clamps, or does the system put out too much pressure to use rubber?

I attached a pic of the line I have & broke (black one).... along with the line I was hoping to cut up & use.

Just wanted to check before I cut....
Thanks!

That line only sees about 30 psi max so you should be ok. I would double clamp it to be safe.

I fixed one like this a few years back, no problems.
I took the paint off the old line and used the ends with regular old hose clamps.
Use diesel rated hose.

If this is standard size line wouldn't a compression fitting work? Would last a lot longer than rubber, no?

I would use a flare fitting, a leak in a 30psi line will spray a good amount.

I'd spend the coin on the new line, still way cheaper than a new truck after it burns up because of a cheap backyard fix.
