front diff capacity?

front diff capacity?
I need to change the gasket on my front differential. The truck is a '96. Wondering what the case will hold? I found the capacity of the rear was a little over 3 quarts, and assumed the front was the same, but can't find it in the info I have. Thanks!

Thank you. It seemed to take a little over 3 quarts. Did the factory seal the differentials with RTV? I don't think mine has ever been drained and filled before, (I got it used), and it was sealed that way.

They came from the factory sealed with RTV.
What gorms said about not filling to the bottom of the fill plug is important.
Most will leak out the axle ends if filled all the way.
