Flywheel Shim

I purchased a Valair 450/950 clutch. The guy that is going to help me install said after the flywheel is turned that we would need shims to make up the difference. Is there a assortment pack of shims or did anyone bother doing this. I can get various pieces of shim stock, will that work. Thanks in advance.

I got a valair clutch and just had the flywheel resurfaced and put it on. I guess it depends how much ur flywheel needs resurfaced. You could try these guys, i just found there website and they have shims, so give them a call to find out for sure.

a new flywheel is 1.5 inches from the back where the crankshaft mounts to the top where the disc friction makes contact.

Do you know how much they took off your flywheel? Is there a min/max to look at when this happens?
