Fluids

I am putting a NV4500 in my truck and I am looking to find out what fluid I should use. I have done a bunch of searching but I have turned up relatively little. Can anyone suggest fluids for both the tranny and my transfer case?

Thanks

I would use the only fluid that NV recommends, Castrol Syntorq (not Syntec)
You can't buy it from any auto parts store, dealer only ($$$) except in large quanities.
But you can buy it at a good price from folks who rebottle it like these guys

Also the Dodge dealer will sell it for $25 to $32 a quart, my NV4500 has a sticker on it that has the # for GM as well. Gm gets $20 a quart. Do not substitute it for others. There are carbonfiber syncro rings and its said anything else will eat them up. As for the TC, DC reccomends trans fluid, I belive Dextron #3 is the one. I would imaging any good synthetic would be good also.

Your first link is Gasoline engine oil.
I've read reports from several folks who have used Amsoil in their trannies and weren't happy. Problems don't always show up until several thousand miles.
I'd personally stick to the only fluid NV recommends, Syntorq.
I'm sure NV researched it well before recommending it.
