Experienced defuel today....UUUUGH!!

Now I know what defueling is first hand- pulling into traffic and a Toyota bearing down so I went WOT and it just was like a dog that did'nt want to hunt. Pitiful. Disgraceful. Ridiculous.

My PSD woulda been launching at that point. (right up to 85mph where the engine and the 4:10's give up on each other)

Anyway, I know its only temporary. Now I know why modding that out of its behavior is so high on the list.

I'm doing a 3KGSK just for that reason.

I bought the kit for $95 from City Diesel. www.citydiesel.com

I know the feeling. I also have 4.10 gears. My truck stops at 90mph w/ 27-2800 RPMs. Hopefully the #10 plate will help me a little.

WOW it seems to me that either our truck is lower then 4.10 (which is not possible) or something is up because the highest i can hit is 75 right at 3k.

This is also why i am going to 4600

I'd say your about right, the o/d in the 5 speed is not as high as an auto , dad has the EXACT same truck as you (see sig) , except he his has 3.55 gears ,and it hits 100 mph at 3000 rpm.

Check your fuel line. On mine, the short vinyl connector between the tank and the frame rail line was almost crimped shut. looks to have been that way from the factory. I couldn't get above 75 mph either. Fixed that with some new lines, and I can go over 100 now. I have had it to 105.
