Exhaust question?

When doing exhaust should I go ahead and get a 4" downpipe. It looks like most exhaust kits have some sort of adapter going from 3" to 4"or whatever size you choose and to me there no use of getting bigger pipe when you start out with a smaller pipe than you end with. I would think it's choking the exhaust right from the start. Sound about right?

The neckdown at the turbo is very short and I'm told helps the turbo spoolup faster. Your egt's will be better with the 4" and the sound is muich better too.

Personally I wouldnt worry about it. When you want to step up to a larger turbo you can get the 4" DP then.
