exhaust

Does it hurt or help 12 valves to eleminate the cat converter and muffler.

Not at all.You could remove the muffler and cat...It will not hurt the motor.For sure get rid of the cat...Unless your state has a bylaw against it...

removing the cat and muffler will make it louder ( sounds really nice ) and will have less restriction to the exhaust.

That would be one of the first things that gets removed onmy truck if it were stock lol

Actually, in the U.S., tampering with exhaust and emissions equipment such as a catalytic converter is technically a Federal Offence.

The cat is probably plugged anyway...might be a good idea to have it fall off when no one is looking.

Dr. Evil - What about in Canada

Is this a federal offence in Canada? Will you fail the emissions test if you don't have a cat? How long does it take to plug a catalytic convertor (in Kms)? Will no cat improve your Hp/Torque?
