Re:exhaust

I just put Summit Racing's 4" turbo back system on my '96 and I must say I was very happy with the fit especially considering it is really for a 98 up truck and I have a non wastegated turbo on mine. The only things I had to do was get the tailpipe bracket/rubber hangers for a '98+ and drill two holes in the frame to mount the bracket. It still gets plenty loud when you step hard on it on the road but at idle it just purrs out the tailpipe. Oh I had to bend the bracket that goes to the trans mount quite a bit since I have no wastegate but I expected that. I did a not so scientific test as far as EGT's go and a long hill on my way home from work that I used to run 800 degrees empty on I now run 725-750 degrees. Not a huge difference but definitely an improvement over the stock system straighted piped and catless.

John
