The steering column gear shifter.

When you press the OD (overdrive) button on the shifter, . . . . . does it light up in any way?

I've changed my 1st Gen column shifter to the 2nd Gen type and was wondering if it illuminated when activated. The 1st Gen's have the switch on the dash and when you press it, the button lights up. I'm trying to incorporate that if available.

The 98-02 are the ones with the button on the shifter...and no, the shifter doesn't light up.
There's a light in the dash cluster that lights up that says O/D OFF.
