dually axle conversion question
Re:dually axle conversion question
From the few folks that I have talked to, I've learned the rear-ends are the same width. It's the cab and chassis rear axle that is narrower.
You would need a new bed, shorter wheel studs for the rear axle and new fron roters. Other than a new set of single wheel, I can't think of anything else that would require changing.
Someone else might have more info. I'm considering the same project.

Of course if you can find someone that wants to convert thier 3/4 ton to a 1 ton, your in luck.

Something else to consider,
Depending on the year and fender design, the body under those "training wheel fenders" has some VERY ugly holes around the fuel filler and fenderwell cut-outs that those pretty wheelboxes hide.
