Driveline vibration
Driveline vibration
I have a 95 extended cab long box 2wd auto. Been trying to diagnose a driveline vibration. My vibration occurs when the suspension is compressed with a load or dips in the road. I have been under the truck with rear wheels suspended and in nuetral but can't feel any play in u-joints or carrier bearing. The slip yoke has a rubber boot over it so can't see whether it's been moving freely or not.
Just hoping maybe someone else has had the same experience and can save me a little time. Don't want to start just changing parts until it's gone. I guess my next step would be to remove rear shaft from differential and see if slip yoke compresses.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just in case anybody does a search for something like this, figured it out. Ends up two caps on the front of the rear shaft were froze solid. Hard to believe it didn't give me more trouble than it did. Smooth as silk now, no vibration during acceleration or on dips.
