down pipe burried in firewall

I put a different tubo on my truck and the down pipe is in a different location. It actually is burried in the firewall. What temp is that firewall blanket rated at? Is this in danger of catching fire?

Also my truck is now popping when I nail the go pedal. I had to remove and plug the small tube that goes to the AFC because this turbo has no waste gate. Would this be causing it to pop?

Sounds like you need to clock that turbo a bit to get that thing off the firewall

I'd be more worried about noise than fire.
Anywhere the exhaust system touches the body makes an unbearable noise.

How would you clock the exhaust housing without flipping the manifold?

I clocked the turbine housing and that helped some. I found a fuel leak. Not sure which one, if its supply or return it went behind the IP. I couldn't really see what it was connected to. I fixed it and put a new filter on it helped with the popping. I just get one pop now when I nail it instead of a bunch of pops. I can live with it for now. I'm definately going to need to redo the down pipe. Flex hose is ok in a pinch but I can see that it was not a permanent fix.

There was a small recall in 97 or 98 regarding downpipes being too close to the sound deadener and causing them to burn. I've never seen one cause a fire, but this tells me that it could be a concern.
