the ulsd is not making any difference in life of pumps. we run a fleet of dodges some of the 12 valve have near or over 1,000,000 miles on them. the p pumps are all factory stock and run on ulsd since its introduction. we have had to work on a couple of ve pump but no more so that when they ran on hs diesel. for the first year lsd came out we added atf to the fuel for the ones running ve pumps

Not only do my trucks run good on ULSD without any additives but so does my older farm equipment .
The law is ULSD must have the same lubricity as the older fuel.
My feeling is adding 2 cycle oil or diesel additives just because it's ULSD only benefits the people selling the products, not the users.

Test have proven that the additives do increase lubricity substantially. Two stroke was one of the best, next to bio. My VP really quieted down when it had either of those in the fuel.

That being said, I don't run any additives in either of my trucks, and have yet to have a problem.

The only test I have seen for lubricity used untreated fuel that is not available to the public. No one has proven that the ULSD at the pump is lacking in lubricity. I've run thousands of gallons thru my 12 valve with no negative results.

I ran it for a while, but have for the last two years quit. I really have not noticed anything. A side note on the guys running ATF, it will dye your fuel red which could get you into a little trouble if you ever get checked for running ag diesel.

Yes the lubrications

Yes that is why i was headed with this is that i don't want to have pump problems. after seeing what these guys are paying to get a pump rebuilt it's a little scary that i would have to spend that kind of money on this truck even if i do love it.THANKS FOR YOUR REPLYS
