Does my idle really need adjusted or can I tighten the throttle linkage?

I tried starting my truck the past few days with a little pedal pressure and I have it to the point where my foot is I mean --- BARELY touching the pedal and it fires right up... I really mean there is virtually NO pressure on the pedal...

So is it my idle?

Throttle linkage?

Raise the idle speed just a bit. 750rpm in gear w/ac on for an automatic. its really easy to do, 10mm wrench for the lock nut and the idle stop screw.

It's important that the throttle linkage remains at a certain length or your engine won't have the full range of rpms.
Follow the instructions here http://dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/adjustm...d_Gen-Idle.htm
