Does a 97 CTD 2500 have OBDII?
If it does, what information can I get from a profesional dodge engine analyzer? This unit was bought directly from DC? Can I tune anything.

its a 12V you can look at MIL problems with a scan tool, but the dealer can see alot more with a DRB tool, trans and PCM settings. and also do flash upgrade to it.
there are no electronic mods for the 12V.

The answer to your question is yes, it is ODBII compliant. There is no ability to "tune" anything like you can on a gas engine, it is purely a diagnostic point. You can watch the codes in real time with a professional analyzer, but there is not much point. The 12 valve Cummins does nothing with the codes, so the analyzer is really only good to tell if your cruise control, alternator, throttle position sensor, and those type of systems are having problems.
