delivery valve thread size/pitch?
delivery valve thread size/pitch?
Hello all
Anyone know the thread size and pitch for a P7100 delivery valve? I have access to a lathe and would like to make a dial indicator adapter for timing the injection pump. I already have an asst of pullers and a couple dal indicators, cant see spending 75 bucks for an adapter. Would an old delivery valve work? Not that I have one...
Thanks all
Eric

Its the same thread size as the oil pan plug, as stated. I thought it was M20x1.5, but it could be M22. Been a while since I checked. Modifying a spare plug would be the easiest way. But access to a lathe changes things.
Thanks all, thats the info I was hoping for. What about bolt size for pulling the gear off of injection pump?
Tate, I see EMS hub conversion in your sig, can you tell me about how you like them? Is it the regular or HD? Any actual improvement in MPG?

power washer adapter may work too!
At Tractor Supply Company here in TX I found a brass fitting that was an NPT adapter for a power washer. It was $4.00 and it fit the DV on my pump. The fitting was on the power washer aisle and sold next to the hoses. It had a hole that was almost the right size for my indicator stem (I believe around 5/16) indicator stem is 3/8". I milled it out to size, because trying to follow a starter hole in brass will grab a drill and have a disastrous consequence. If you have a lathe the fitting could be reamed out. It might be close enough to ream with a hand drill... just be careful.
