i was helping a friend of mine change a pinion seal on his 98 dodge 4x4 cummins auto. it has a dana 70 in it. well when i poped the drive shaft out, it has free play in and out. so my big question is what do i need to do to get it warranteed at the dealer. the truck has around 80k on it. he has never hauled anything with it. i find it strange that the rear is in this shape. any key words that need to be droped at the dealer to make sure the do the warrantee? mike

 

80K is outside the normal warranty period. Unless he bought an extended warranty, he might be out of luck.
