Dana 70/80 adjustment

I read on one of the other sites that the D 70/80 should have the backlash readjusted at 80-100K miles. Do any of you do this just for the heck of it? I can be a little overboard sometimes when it comes to PM.

This is a guess/answer/we'll see. I thing that what happens in there is it losens up and the only adjustment is tighting the nut on the yoke , and that crushes the chrush sleave , that makes the the gap bigger[ wrong direction].

dana 70-80

there is no crush sleeve in dana 44 up that i have seen. been building them for over 30 years. if one needs to take the clearance out of a dana rear something is wearing bad
