It is supposed to made with a<br>better grade of iron that is not so prone to &quot;shrinking&quot;<br>and distortion under real high heat conditions as the<br>stock manifolds do. The twelve valve manifolds are<br>bad about cracking around the #1 cylinder near the<br>tab or &quot;boss&quot; that protrudes out from the head.<br>The 24 valve exhaust manifolds crack in or near<br>the middle. The &quot;three-piece&quot; construction of the<br>ATS manifold allows the manifold to &quot;expand and<br>contract&quot; as it gets hot and then cold again. ATS's<br>literature states that it flows about 10% better <br>than the stock unit. I saw no increase in H.P.,<br>but my EGTS were definitely lowered some and<br>the throttle response felt better.<br><br>Most of the major vendors have the ATS manifold.<br>I bought mine from Scheid Diesel.
