Cruise control

I changed my vac. Pump. I have good vacuum in cab and at fire wall “T”. A/C works fine, problem is cruise control is not working. Any ideas appreciated.

Depending on the servo, some can be dismantled, and the solenoids cleaned and inspected. Could be the switches or the clock spring. The possibilities are numerous. Most likely electrical.

I don't see details on what year truck you have - I seem to recall from a previous thread of yours that it's a 2nd gen truck. If so, the servo is under the driver's side battery (at least on '94-'98.5) and they are prone to problems in that position due to the effects of vapors/leakage from the battery. As cougar mentions, the switches can also be problematic. I was recently reading a thread "on another forum" that mentioned problems with the switches. Check your PMs...

Have you checked the cable itself. It's kind of a rig job but I used a zip tie (small one) to go at the end of the cable where they are prone to fray.
