Question Cracking Purolator Fuel Filter

Just had the second one in 2000 miles and was just wandering if any one has had any trouble ? The crack is in the top where the square rubber ring go. There is 4 spot welds there and the crack starts in the spot weld and goes out to the edge of the filter housing and leaks a lot of fuel. Or does any one have the E-mail address of purolator.

I don't know an email address for Purolator, but I can say I've run a couple of them without issue. You could try doing a search, I have read here that a bad overflow valve can allow too much pressure to build up and crack the filter housings.

Filter cracking is a common result of excess fuel pressure.
You didn't happen to stretch your overflow valve spring?

Yeah I have cracked 2 of them on my truck. I now run a fleetguard with no problems. I also run 75 PSI of fuel pressure.
