Question A/C help please

Hey guys been awhile since i've had any major problems but i've had this one since last summer. Well when I bought the truck the compressor was seized so figured I would just have the entire system rebuilt/replaced. Had most of the the usual stuff replaced...new compressor, condinser, evaporater, drier, expansion valve, lines and hoses. Well everything was in working order but notice that the actual air volume is pretty low, guy did everything he could and said even though he went through the heater box it was the only thing not replaced. So that would be my first problem. My second primary problem I really want fixed first is this weird cooling cycle. Now that its gettin warm down here in south texas i'm beggin for some cooler air. I noticed that when the truck is idling it blows cool, good enough for me. But when I take off and start driving it will start blowing not warm but not cool. Figured I was low on freon. Just checked it today and notice it was a little high on the low side...running about 45ish idling. Don't ask how but lowered it down to about 38ish idling. Reved up engine and psi would drop to 30 right in the ok zone. It still seems to be the same problem but is running a little cooler when idling but no difference when driving. Another thing I notice was the compressor was running constantly never shut down or anything just kept going even at higher rpm's. I don't hear any thing straining from high pressure. Is this all normal? Any one have any idea's? Would appreciate all the help!

Have you check the heater box to make sure it's not full of leaves?

First could you have overcharged it? Second does water drain out the drain, if not it could be partially full of water restricting air flow through the evaporator. Third the blend door on that truck is boden cable operated. You should ensure that the door is traveling all the way to the cold position. Fourth does the fan motor need replacing due to dragging/seizing and causing slow rotation? Buy a small thermometer and stick it in the dash vent so you can monitor air temp to see what you are getting.

Thanks guys like I said before freon is in the normal range but it don't act like it is. Thats what I need help with. The low or 'cool' line is nice and cold. Yes the drain is working properly. The cable was also one of the items replaced because it broke before. My biggest concern is why won't the compressor cycle at high rpms? It just keeps going at all times until I shut down the a/c. I'm worried it will fry itself because of this.

By the way the blower seems to be running nice and smooth...no noise or anything of which would make it sound like it would need to be replaced. I check the voltage on it and its reading about 11.60v

Maybe a vacum line leaking? Allowing the doors to open/close partially? Not sure how they work in a first gen.

If you live somewhere hot then the compressor may not cycle if you have high fan on, you could try turning the heat up with the AC on with a low fan and see if the compressor cycles. Does the recirc door operate? If not you would be pulling outside air all the time. Also does the engine cooling fan work properly. You should check the AC with the hood closed otherwise the air is right off the engine compartment and radiator.

Yes the door opens and closes and the fan clutch probly works too well cause it takes for ever for the engine to warm up.
