Brought home a 12-Valve

Today me and my buddy went a picked up a '95 Dually with a auto trans for $1500. It has right at 200K on the clock, but starts and runs good. The transmission needs to be gone through, but the plan is to install the drivetrain in his '97 1500 shortbed.

Might be easier to cut the frame shorter and put the short bed box on the dually frame. Looks like a fun project. Wish I could find a truck like that for $1500.

yea i 2nd that! just get some single wheel hubs for the front, a driveshaft, and maybe a rear(not sure on the width) and u'll be all set! Im also in the progress of building my 12V street machine!

Looks like a cool project. I love the look of 2nd Gen Dually's. Thats an interesting paint job on the 12 Valve, i have never seen it before.

The diesel drivetrain is a complete bolt in. The front of the trucks are identical. We have had both on a lift next to each other with tape measures. Here is a video of it running:

Mechanical is the easy part, getting the gauges to function right would be the part that would worry me. Frames are beefier on the heavier trucks as well. Plus, I like the look of a short 8-lug truck.
