pull codes first, apps 99.99% shows a code. if you need one search for Timbo, his apps is more durable, simple to instal and a fraction of the cost compared to anyone else.
timbo's is 160$ delivered,

with your symptoms I doubt its an apps issue, sounds more line a t/c lock up issue which is typically a dirty ground or alt leaking ac voltage

My experience has been the TPSs from Napa last much longer than the dealers.
Much cheaper too.

I drilled mine, flushed with electric motor cleaner then put a screw in the drilled hole

I've had to remove the screw once for another round of flushing out, drilled it so a straw would fit.

where are you guys drilling at on the tps?maybe i'll drill the old one and clean it out and put it back on to see if that works. i bought a napa tps it was $200 so far so good, it has a 1 year warranty too. i didn't buy one from advance/auto zone because their electrical components are junk. the same day i replaced my tps, i replaced the ignition switch lifetime from advance. bye monday i had to have it warrantied already. junk!!!
