boost vs. egt

Hello fellow cummins lovers. I think I may have a problem but am not sure. I have a 97 ext. cab 2wd 5-spd, I have installed a TST #11 plate full forward, AFC spring kit, 16cm non-wastegated exhaust housing. The problem I am seeing is that under hard acceleration in 4th and 5th gear the boost will climb to 35psi and the EGT will rise to 1550 and it stays this way between 80mph and 105mph. Is this a normal EGT or would it help to add a cold air intake.
BTW: the exhaust is stock size straight piped, would it also help to go to 4".
