I cannot get my belt to stop squeaking. I've replaced two of them and they still squeak. I've removed the belt and spun each pulley by hand to make sure I didn't have any bearings going out and they all spin freely. I'm wondering if the spring on my tensioner is just a little worn? Any way to tighten it?

 

There is no ajustment for the tensioner.Mine had a groove on it and the belt was already rubbing on the tensioner frame.They are very inexpensive.I replaced mine for about $56...If I was you,I would replace it...They do ware out..

 

Take the tensioner off and then take the pulley off. Put some grease on the pulley shaft put it back together. I did this about 60,000 miles ago and no noise.

 

I had the same problem

tensioner was one bolt i think, and it took more time to put back the fan belt than it did to change out the tensioner... No joke... Just replace it and be done with it,
