Axle swap help

I am swaping a 4x4 front end into 2wd that has a solid front axle. All the measurements are the same so it will just be like swapping for the same axle. My question is: After I unbolt the track arms, steering, shocks, brakes and everything else does the frame just lift off of the coil springs?

IF I'm reading this right...
As soon as you have most of the front end undone on the 4x4, the axle will just hang down & you can pick the coil springs out by hand.

I am actually trading the complete thing, housings and all. I need a 4x4 and I have a donor truck (Complete with a CTD for a back up, or for sale?) I will also be swapping trannys since the donor is a 98 and has the nicer shift tower that I can get a short throw shifter for.

if ur tranny is in good shape, just swap the shift tower. That way u know what ur trans is like already and wont have any suprises from the other one.

Does the wires that run the 4x4 light that come out of the actuator break the ground or hot side of the circuit?

I am also trying to find the mechanical alternative to the vacuum switch. I looked at the POSI LOKs and they are nice but spendy.
