Got the KDP on my other 95 today. This one has just over 70K on it and the pin had not moved a bit. Tabbed it and buttoned it back up. No new seals, just loc tight on the bolts and silicone on the cover gasket;D ;D

 

does cummins or D C know about this problem or are they just trying to ignore it?

 

Small town, small world. I was at Cummins BC last week to buy seal and gasket which was $92. for my 97. I was curious on their position so I asked "how often do you sell these parts and what is your position on the problem". Their response was "it was very rare" and yet I saw the poll that indicated roughly 5% damage from 94 to 98.5 and my year 97, was almost twice as bad as other years. Incidently, that poll was removed from that "other site" with no trace it ever existed. WHY when such an important issue? The real problem is Dodge has warranty responsibility to get engines OEM at cheapest price from Cummins. Not good customer situation for a $15,000 plus engine.
