After Sitting 6 Weeks Will not Start
I have a 1997 2500 Diesel that has sat for 6 weeks and now it will not start.
The engine cranks over plenty of power but it will not fire. I suspect it has lost prime and not getting fuel, but not really sure how to check that is the case or how to re prime if that is what is needed. Need Help before it gets to cold...

Make sure you fuel selonid is not stuck, and is coming up. Then to bleed just loosen the line in the IP. Once you bleed tat, if you get a no start crack the injectors and bleed them.

You probably have an air leak somewhere in the system, after verifying the start solenoid is pulling the pump lever up ( bump the starter without shutting key back off, verify the lever is in the up position ), then you first need to prime the low pressure side, on your lift pump on the side of the block there will be a black rubber **** ( some have rotted away and only leave the white plastic plunger ), you need to pump this until you hear a hissing sound similar to what you get when you force air through your teeth. Then she should start, might take a wee bit of cranking and she will take off.
Try that and get back to us.
