about to remove heater core

about to remove heater core
Need to replace the heater core. while pulling back the dash will the shifter get in the way (manual trans). trying to cover all the bases before starting

When I installed mine I left the shifter on and probably in 4th gear. Leave the large bolt loose on each end of dash and rotate back. Good luck and be patient.
