98 24V to p-pump
98 24V to p-pump
how much work and about how much would it cost to take a 1998 truck with a VP44 and switch it to a p-pump. What things would have to be removed and added. thanks in advance.

there is a ton of info on this subject here. do a search. it is not a plug and play deal, there is work invovled. how long and how much it would take depends on you and your mechanical aptitude. assuming you can do everything yourself, i think sheid or haisley sells a conversion kit with everything minus the pump for approx. 3 grand. then you have to buy the pump. so thats a ballpark minimum.
Kit from Schieds, pump, misc. fuel fittings and oil line fittings, fuel shut down solenoid, harness, OF valve (VP one might work, not sure). And there is going to be some light fabrication as well. I had the bulk of the mechanical done in 2 days, but there is a lot of little things to get it finished. I'm fixing to do a write up on mine when I get some free time.
