I may have the chance to buy my friends '96 reg cab 2wd. Truck has damage to right side from trailer, but said he'll take $1500 for it. If he sells, I'll have some questions for ya. I should know something by this weekend.

 

Sounds like a great deal if it's even in half way decent mechanic condition. You could get double that just for the engine by itself!

 

That was my thoughts, he drives it everyday, the only thing wrong as far as I know, is he got hit from behind while pulling a gooseneck trailer, and that caused it to hit the right bed side and door.

 

$1500. If you buy it plan on going to jail for theft.

Well it happened! I just pulled that baby up in the driveway! I was wrong about the right side damage, it was left side, gonna prolly take a bed, and needs some front end work. It pulls to the right, and has a 'clunk' when it comes to a stop. Oh, and no low beams...I have not looked at or checked anything, just paid the man and drove it home.

No, it's an auto. It has SLT trim, 2wd, and cloth seats. I think I found a bed, going to check tomorrow, then start fixin the ol girl up. I'm excited about the 12 valve, Ill start some tuning after I get the front end stuff done.

 

Just got home from scoring a good bed for cheap! I'll swap that this weekend since mine is crushed on the left side, top of the bed is on the inner fender hump!

Got the bed off today, get the other bed on 2moro or Sat. Found ans fixed the clunk in the front end, loose bolts on upper right control arm. Tightened them up and ggod to go!
