ding ding ding! we have a winner here! minor alterations to the CTD would up the torque to be over that of the higher HP d-max. Not to mention the CTD makes it's torque at a lower rpm so at cruise speeds it would have more umph due to the fact that it cruises in it's power band. You would have to down shift the d-max and wind it out to get into it's power band...

I had all 4 diesel motors (7.3, 6.5, 6.6, 5.9)in the past 7 years and I will stay with Cummins forever.
