96 5 speed back up light switch question
96 5 speed back up light switch question
Hello all
I have traced a backup light problem in my 1996 5 speed NV4500 truck to the tranny switch (pull connection, jumper wire, lights work), but this is as far as I have got.
Is this switch "adjustable"? Have a lock ring or anything to change actuation length? Or is it pretty much pull and replace? Also, can you get to it through the tranny shift boot inside the cab, or is it better done from underneath?
Thanks all
Eric

Took switch out and it "works" on the bench. Looks to be nonadjustable for engagement point. Is there adjustable linkage in the tranny for the switch, or would a new switch probly just solve my problem?
Thanks all
