I have a 95 2500 12V with 273,000 miles. The truck is slow to start. It has to turn over several times with the throttle about 1/3 open. When it starts it will die immediately if you do not catch it with the throttle. If you try to move the truck it will die when you first give it some throttle. However if you keep it revved up for approx. 3-4 minutes it will stay running. At a no-load situation the engine flutters at about 2100RPM. From about 2300-up it blows white smoke. Only mods are #8 TST Plate and a 4" MBRP turbo back exhaust. It have replaced the fuel filter and cleaned the strainer. Air filter is clean. Any help will greatly be appreciated.

 

My bet is your timing has slipped

 

try turning up the idle just a tad see if that helps some times the older pumps lose a few rpms at idle turning the idle up helps a this

 

Could be you have an air leak someplace? Id try to test the fuel pressure and rule that out. You can hit 30psi with a good lift pump just using the starter.

 

I would bet you have a cracked fuel line, sounds like your getting air in the lines.
