Ok here's the problem My 4 wheel indiactor isn't working I depressed the pluger on the switch but nothing I also tried jumping the wire to make the light work still nothing is there something I am missing I am trying to find out if it's the axle accuator or something else It has 160k on it and I have not replaced anything on the 4 wheel drive at all yet it worked fine last year now no light and I am not sure it's engaging

 

did you check the bulb? test the switch? have vacuum? also this should be in 2nd gen section

Trying to trouble shoot those units is like pushing a rope. To test the light you need to get into the dash, to test the actuator you need to remove it and get help cycling it. If it is the relay, good luck trying to test that. When you are near 100 you will find the problem.

My solution is to simply replace the OEM junk with a Posi-Lok manual shift system. If the cable is pulled you are locked!
