I was driving to day let off the gas and the truck died it cranked over but would not start. I cheeked the fuel shutoff it was working so I turned it over some more I put my foot on the gas and it started up fine let off the gas and it died.
Did that six more times then turned the ideal up to 900 1000rpm ish the truck started and ran fine all the wy back to town .
The lift pump puts out 8 psi and 19 at wot with new filter on so I turned the ideal
Back down to 650-700 runs and starts with out my foot on the gas how.
The truck is a 96 Chevy crew cab with a 5 speed 4" exh k&n fule plate forward
What is the problem? About 10000 miles on this swap

 

Should have 22-25 PSI at idle, 27-32 at WOT. filters, overflow valve, or lift pump. Pinch off the return line and see if the pressure shoots up to 50-60 and report back.
