75,000 Mile "Checkover"?
75,000 Mile "Checkover"?
I haven't been driving the truck much the past couple of years and now I'm working a new job that requires 100 miles round trip everday in it I want to give it a once over. I've got a few bucks saved and want to take care of some of the common problems before they "take care" of me. From searching around here the last couple of days here's a quick list of what seem to be common problems I haven't addressed/things I should check:
- Check fuel pressure for possible lift pump problems (I thought these only acted up on 24V'ers but I've learned otherwise) and possbily just replace pump
- Replace Overflow Valve
- Clean Fuel Pre-Filter
I've already done the 5th gear nut and changed the fuel filter as well as all the fluids. Also, the KDP is pinned, all the front end parts are good. I'm just throwing this out there to see if anyone has something that I've completely overlooked (which I'm sure I have).

Thanks. I'll add the PS drain and fill to my list. I already put Redline fluids in all the driveline parts. Anybody else? I figure this list would come in handy for others looking for a comprehensive list of things to look out for.
