4wd Not Workiig
Ok My 4wd Is Not Working, It Will Go Into But No Light Will Come On. And It Will Not Go Into, I Also Have No Heater It Only Comes Out Of The Defroster And My Cruse Control Will Not Work, Coiuld The 4wd Problem Be Caused By A Vacum Leak?
there all vacum related, did this all happen at once? if so, start looking. it might be obvious. you might be replacing lines. start at the vacum pump and work your way out.
a vacum gauge could really help. plug each tee and see if there is a drastic change, then go to the next one...
i think the systems are designed to have very small leaks, it's the big one you are after.
good luck

it is a vaccum leak that caused your failiure. You might want to first go under the truck and check the little hose connectors by the T case. If those are covered in oil, then chances are they are disrupting your Vaccum. Another place to check, right up there by the fuel filter, go ahead and make sure that all of the hoses are good, make sure you have no loose ends, or no loose hoses, or leaks in the rubber hoses. One leak and the whole 4wd system goes Kaput....
If those check out well, go ahead and get under the T case again, look at the top of the T case from following the vaccum lines to go ahead and see a 4 connection deal to the top of the case, you might wanna check to see that is makin a good connection..
If that dont work, and all ur lines are fine, go ahead and check the actual actuator itself. Mine got stuck and it didnt work anymore due to corrosion and so forth, you can clean it out, or apply vaccum to it to see if it works. It is easily removed.. 4 7/16 bolts...
if you clean your accuator out and it still dont work or it is too rusty, or u just dont wanna get an unreliable factory OEM 4wd system..
POSILOCK IT and forget it!

I know i did, please read up,

Enjoy, and i hope this helps..
