Just bought a 97 4x4 5spd truck... I've had the truck for a couple weeks with no problems untill today. I was in some wet grass on a hill so I put it 4H, there was nothing there. It feels like its in Neutral and the 4wd light doesn't come on. 2wd and 4L all work as they should. Has anyone every experienced this before?

 

I am just going to presume its a mannual shift transfer case ,are all the linkages still connected up under your truck,just checking the obvious first.

 

check vaccumn lines front axle and on t-case
